Primary activitiesThe company’s activities, as in previous years, consists of supplying catering services. In addition, the company operates several restaurants linked to renowned cultural institutions such as theatres and museums, usually attracting many tourists.Description of development in activities and financial affairs
Development in activities and finances2023 was a year of change for the business; the acquisition completed on 14 March 2023, resulting in a carve out of the Meyers group from the Løgismose group and thus significant associated costs and restructuring. Alongside this, the marketplace in which the underlying trading businesses operate has been challenging, characterised by rising inflation and increases in electricity and commodity prices, in turn putting pressure on our margins. Despite these challenges, the business has achieved strong revenue growth year on year.Revenue for the period was DKK 427.3 million (2022: DKK 393.9 million), with Operating Profit (EBITDA) of DKK 10.6 million (2022: DKK 23.5 million) and an overall profit for the year of DKK 5.6 million (2022: DKK 16.7 million). The revenue result is pleasing and in line with expectations, the losses are a result of the margin pressures described above and the transition from Løgismose following acquisition by WSH.
The balance sheet shows equity of DKK 6.1 million as of 31 December 2023 (2022: DKK 185.8 million). The company paid an extraordinary dividend to its previous owners (the Løgismose group) prior to the acquisition of the company by WSH Denmark ApS, which materially reduced the equity position.
