Development in activities and financial matters
The revenue for the year totals DKK 917.965.702 against DKK 841.285.839 last year. Income or loss from ordinary activities after tax totals DKK 37.232.177 against DKK 40.210.107 last year. Management considers the net profit or loss for the year satisfactory.
The increased turnover from 2022 to 2023 must be seen as a result of Biltema's openings of new warehouses as well as a significantly positive development in Biltema's cafés. The reason for this is the retention of a set pricing strategy and increased marketing efforts. On December 3, 2023, Biltema Denmark opened the doors to the newly constructed Biltema in Nykøbing Falster. The opening has been long-awaited in the area, and customers have warmly welcomed Biltema Denmark's 17th warehouse. Since 2019, new warehouses, as a pilot project in Denmark, have been built with solar panels. As part of our efforts to reduce environmental impact, this project has now been expanded to the entire Nordic region. In 2023, the project began with the installation and upgrade of new solar panels on existing warehouses in Denmark. This work continues into 2024.
