Development in activities and financial matters
The gross profit for the parent compagny for the year totals 56.205 T.DKK against 86.532 T.DKK last year. The result from ordinary activities after tax totals -7.176 T.DKK against 11.372 T.DKK last year.
The gross profit for the group for the year totals 60.777 T.DKK against 100.136 T.DKK last year. The result from ordinary activities after tax totals -7.192 T.DKK against 11.396 T.DKK last year.
The company has, as the rest of the world, been strongly affected by the production stop incurred by the unfruitful negotiations between create Denmark and the streamers and broadcasters. The process has led to a full stop of development and productions greenlights of both film and TV series and non scripted programs in Denmark from September 2021 until now. Netflix is the only streamers now again commissioning scripted TV series and have started developing series. Furthermore, the Danish government has in May 2022 decided to put a levy on the streamers, which has stopped them from investing in Danish content. The politicians are currently trying to solve the situation, but have not yet succeeded. This situation has arisen immediately after a challenging period for the entire sector because of the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic. On top of all of this, we have a world wide recession. The result has thus been negatively affected by these conditions. Accordingly, management does not consider the results satisfactory.
