Description of key activities of the company
Alfa Laval Nakskov A/S is a global center for membrane filtration.
The company is Alfa Laval’s global center for the development, production, and sale of membranes and advanced liquid separation systems for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, the food industry, the process industry, the wastewater industry, as well as selected other customers and applications.
The company produces the market’s finest filters with pore sizes ranging from microfiltration through nanofiltration and ultrafiltration to reverse osmosis membranes, where separation occurs based on molecular size. The newest business areas include membranes for wastewater treatment, Membrane BioReactors (MBR), which, as an alternative to traditional treatment technologies, use membrane filtration, making wastewater treatment plants smaller, cheaper, and more effective.
Alfa Laval Nakskov A/S also has a global test center, where customers can test various applications using some of the world’s finest filters with pore sizes from microfiltration through ultrafiltration and nanofiltration to reverse osmosis membranes, where separation takes place entirely at the molecular level.

The company has changed its accounting policy regarding measurement of land and buildings. Refer to the section accounting policies for further details.

Development in activities and financial matters
The revenue for the year totals DKK 279.599.267 against DKK 265.682.594 last year. Loss from ordinary activities after tax totals DKK -9.320.288 against an income DKK 5.143.539 last year. The development must be seen in light of the fact that, according to the annual report 2023, the company expected revenues for 2024 in the range of TDKK 270.000 - 300.0000,00 and income from ordinary activities after tax of TDKK 10.000 - 20.000, which is caused by higher production costs, like freight etc0,00. Management considers the net profit or loss for the year satisfactory.
In the financial year 2024, the Company has changed the accounting policy for measuring "Land and Buildings" has been changed from fair value with value adjustment in equity, cf. section 41 of the Danish Financial Statements Act, to cost price less accumulated depreciation and amortisation, cf. section 36/40 of the Danish Financial Statements Act. The balance sheet total decreased by TDKK 12,468, while its equity decreased by TDKK 9,725 at 1 January 2023.

Expected developments
The expected development in 2025 for the revenue is to be in the range of TDKK 290.000 - 320.000 tkr and income from ordinary activities after tax to be in the range of TDKK 5.000 - 15.000.
