LedelsesberetningKoncernoversigt

Given the challenges, which the Company has faced in the growing season, Management considers the profit for the year satisfactory.According to the Company's budget, a total of 17,050 hectares will be harvested in 2023 and net profit will amount to EUR 6.0 million.Prices and availability of input are still affected by Russia's invasion. Input in the form of chemicals and fertilizer to be used for the upcoming growth season have all been secured as it has been purchased and put into stock, however at prices considerably higher than in previous years, where fertilizer in particular has become much more expensive. For the 2023 season, the Group acquired a large adjoining property of 1,400 hectares. The property will gradually be integrated in operations up to the harvesting season in 2023.The Group still pursues its growth strategy and at present acquisition opportunities are explored just as the Group purchases land and concludes new land leases on an ongoing basis. In 2022, the Group still provided financial support to Ukrainian refugees who come to Romania as refugees, and the support is primarily given to children and their mothers through responsible NGOs. Going forward, cooperation with the NGOs will be increased focusing on the needs of the local area. Local responsibility is essential to the Group. The Group places great emphasis on ESG, sustainability and not least biodiversity. We take our responsibility as a food producer seriously and strive to produce with the lowest possible impact on the climate. The cultivation of plant is carried out exclusively according to conservation agriculture principles, which are the backbone of our method of farming. This reduces the consumption of input in the form of energy and fertilizer, ties up carbon dioxide in the soil, improves soil quality and reduces the emission of greenhouse gases. We have launched the planting of windbreaks and bushes to contribute to increased biodiversity. We want to improve conditions for deer, etc. and boost biodiversity in the areas in which we operate.
